Open book Festival is giving children and youth their own dedicated literary festival! That makes me happy because a bunch of us authors and illustrators will be bringing the joy and magic of reading to selected schools and libraries in Cape Town from Saturday, 25 March – Sunday, 1 April. The programme is: here. The line-up is: here. Of course, I can’t invite you to the school readings but I will have a public event on the opening Saturday at The Book Lounge (where my grown-up readers can join me on the evening of Tuesday, 28 March for something different).
So, if you’re in Cape Town, I hope your plans for Saturday, 25 March 2023 include coming to The Book Lounge with your little readers for a fun, lively and interactive reading session of my first book, Mpumi’s Magic Beads and my latest one, What Does Mpumi Wear? The event is free but booking is essential. Please do that: here.
Thank you, Open Book #YouthFest!
