Is it hot? Is it cold? What does Mpumi wear?
These are the simple questions that draw little readers into Mpumi’s world once again. Considering that all of my books are translated into all eleven official South African languages, I love the idea of giving children the opportunity to learn about everyday objects and expand their vocabularies in their home languages. This book is aimed at the younger child and features a younger Mpumi. The dream team is back at it again with Masego Morulane’s illustrations encouraging young readers to connect with themselves and with the world in which they live. The bright and cheerful images, which are accompanied by short bursts of text, explain in an easy-to-understand visual language, our daily activities as human beings. It’s a great read for the whole family, especially children aged between 3 and 6 years old.
